According to years of accumulated experience of CFB, the reasons of abrasion resistance castables lost its efficacy are as follows: the abrasion resistance of matrix is lower than grains. Matrix is worn first and grains fall off. In the meantime, due to the coating thickness of CFB is 50-80mm with V-shape nails, the installation is very difficult. Though by increasing water addition could improve the flow ability, water addition will increase the porosity, worsen density and affect service life.

The high strength abrasion resistance self-flow castables is a high-tech product based on the solid fluid theory and refractory applications. It features good fluidity, suitable setting time, labor cost saving, convenient installation, abrasion resistance, high strength, low permanent linear change, good volume stability and good thermal shock resistance.
