PRCO Technical Center, known as the Enterprise Technical Center of Puyang Refractories Group Co., Ltd, was identified as Henan Provincial Enterprise Technology Center in April 2002, and was recognized as the National Enterprise Technology Center in September 2008. The Center has 143 technical staff in total, including 126 high-level engineering researchers and designers, 2 experts on refractories who studied in the United States, 4 PhDs and 23 masters, forming a strong technical group. The area used for research and development and testing detection is about 8,000 square meters. The High Temperature Ceramic Materials Test Center has already been approved by China National Accreditation, possessing excellent refractory testing equipment and a series of modernized analysis methods that meet the international advanced standards, and the amount of equipment asset is 42 million RMB. Since 1993, the center has undertaken 62 technical projects of the National, the Provincial and the Municipal projects, and has won 33 awards of the National, the Provincial and the Municipal technology achievements.    

The Center closely focuses on the changes and the development trend of the domestic and international refractory market and the steel technology. It cooperates with the University of Science & Technology Beijing, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology and other domestic and foreign universities, carrying out the cooperation mode of production, learning and research. The Center and the universities establish a long-term and stable relationship, so that to absorb and introduce the high-qualified professional and technical personnel, and constantly develop the high-tech products to meet the market’ demand.
