BOF purging plugs developed by PRCO are manufactured with metal pipes and magnesia-carbon bricks, in which the gas channels are made of heat-resistant stainless steel pipes(with the size ofφ3×1 andφ4×1) and the numbers of gas channels ranging from 10 to 100 units depending on the size of the BOF purging plugs. The high quality magnesia-carbon bricks are designed to match with the performance of BOF bottom bricks. Under normal conditions, the adequate pipes could guarantee the high rate of opening and stable gas flows of the purging plug and meet the demands of top-bottom gas purging at the same time.
