On December 20th, PRCO scientific and technological achievements appraisal meeting was held at headquarter. The appraisal meeting was organized by Puyang City Science and Technology Bureau, commissioned by the Science and Technology Department of Henan Province. The appraisal committee includes former chief engineer of Henan Metallurgical and Building Materials division Zhang Sen and other well-known domestic experts. Relevant leaders from Puyang Science and Technology Bureau attended the meeting, and PRCO chairman Liu Baikuan led a team to attend the meeting.
The meeting was presided over by Chief of the Puyang Science and Technology Bureau of Cui Fakui, and the chief engineer Wang Jianhua spoke on behalf of the Bureau of Science and Technology. Mr. Liu delivered a speech on behalf of PRCO, he expressed his gratitude to the experts and leaders, and then reviewed the great role that technological innovation has played in the development of PRCO, saying that PRCO will unswervingly adhere to the business philosophy of ‘continuous innovation, develop quality goods, scientific management, global service’, and build a bigger and stronger PRCO.
Two projects were appraised at this time, namely ‘Development and Application of Aluminum-magnesium Carbon-Free Brick for Refining Ladle’ and ‘Large Ladle with Aluminum Magnesite Spraying Materials and Lining Construction Technology Development and Application’.
Mr. Tianqing Li, head of the project, briefed the appraisal committee on the project of ‘Development and Application of Aluminum-magnesium Carbon-Free Brick for Refining Ladle’. Tested by the Henan Provincial Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, the product’s performance was in line with Q / PPG039-2015 enterprise standards. Many users such as Shougang Jingtang, Ningbo Iron and Steel and India JSW steel have expressed good user experience. The product is of prominent social and economic benefit. The appraisal committee listened to the report and reviewed the relevant appraisal materials, raised questions and discussed in-depth, and agreed that the project’s technology was mature, the product’s quality was stable, the economic and social benefits were significant, and the technology reached the international advanced level, and it was of great value to promote the project. Suggestions to further strengthen the scope of application and expand its use were put forward.
Project leader Qin Yan briefed the appraisal committee on ‘Large Ladle with Aluminum Magnesite Spraying Materials and Lining Construction Technology Development and Application’. Tested by Henan Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, the product’s performance was in line with Q / PPG041-2015 enterprise standards. Many users such as the South Korean Hyundai Steel, Handan Iron and Steel, Kunming Iron and Steel have expressed good user experience. The product is of prominent social and economic benefit. The appraisal committee listened to the report and reviewed the relevant appraisal materials, raised questions and discussed in-depth, and agreed that the project’s technology was advanced, quality was stable, the economic and social benefits were significant, and the technology reached the international advanced level, and has a broad application prospect. Suggestions to speed up application promotion were put forward.
In the end, PRCO vice president Dr. Zhang Houxing made a concluding statement on behalf of the research group, and he expressed his heartfelt thanks to the experts, stating that PRCO will keep the attitude of seeking truth and being pragmatic, and we will carefully analyze the expert comments, improve the deficiencies, and strive to perfect PRCO’s research work, and better contribute to the national refractory industry.
These two projects successfully passed the provincial appraisal, marking another important step in the scientific research road. And PRCO will further increase the high-end research talent recruitment and training efforts to increase R & D investment, enhance enterprise scientific research strength, and build PRCO into an internationally renowned brand.
