Stopper rod system is normally applied in tundish continuous casting. The casting speed could be controlled through adjusting the joints between stopper rod and tundish nozzle. During the casting, there will be some erosion at stoppers and upper nozzles. When the contact surfaces are eroded to a certain level and cannot guarantee the proper speed, they are not allowed to use again. The quality of the upper nozzle is crucial to tundish life.

PN series of upper nozzles with ZrO2 insert are made of zirconium, feature high refractoriness, superior resistance to thermal shock, erosion/corrosion, etc. Applied together with PN series of ladle shrouds, stopper rods and SEN, the casting sequences will be remarkably improved. 

The products have been used in lots of steelworks around the world and approved by customers including Lianyuan Steel, Xinyu Steel, Suzhou Steel and Wuhang Steel, etc.
