Tundish upper nozzles are embedded in seating blocks of the tundish bottom. They can control the flow of steel when working with stopper rods. PN series of tundish upper nozzles feature high refractoriness, good anti-clogging, superior resistance to thermal shock and resistance to erosion/corrosion. Tundish upper nozzles, along with stopper rods, are able to improve the casting sequences significantly.

High performances have been achieved in many steel plants such as Shagang Group, Guiyang Steel, Huaiyang Steel, and Azovstal in Ukraine and Bhilai in India.
